Standing between civilization and chaos, the Paper People walk the line between what society defines and what exists beyond those definitions. Birthed from scrapped potential, they are an omnipresence symbolizing the hidden, yet true, nature of people. Though they take human form, they are not confined by the rules of society, stereotypes, race, culture, or expectation.
In Rooted Resilience, the Paper People move through a surreal landscape of flowers, roots, and weathered tree stumps. Their bodies, marked by a hand-drawn grid, suggest both structure and possibility—lines that appear to define them while never truly containing them.
