Joseph Kyle McKinney Studios creates large-scale murals and public art projects rooted in community collaboration. Based in Atlanta, the studio partners with organizations, neighborhoods, and brands to transform overlooked spaces into visual landmarks that reflect local history, shared identity, and possibility.
Outside of murals, McKinney's studio practice centers on large-scale paintings, drawings, and print-based works that explore Black presence, perception, and power through layered symbolism and art historical reference. His work draws on comic book aesthetics, neoclassical visual language, and cultural theory to examine identity, double consciousness, and the interior life of Black men — creating images that feel both mythic and intimate.
